Welcome to the Machine


      The expectations I have to get out of bc3 for however long I will be here is to use the tools I learn in either the near future, or any time in my life for that matter. I hope to meet people that I can become good friends with and also people that would be good for networking later on. I believe that I will be able to learn a lot from the teachers here and hope that I will get diverse range of tools to use for my career. I hope I will be able to benefit from taking night classes not only so that I can work full time but also so that I can find people in similar situations as me in order for us to relate to each other better than in an average daily classroom. Over all, there's many things that I can take from being in these bc3 classes/community and not all of it just having to do with what the teacher will try to teach in the classroom. It could be finding people to network with later in life, possible good friends, tools to use for my future lifestyle, and a range of different thoughts from a teacher in each of my classes. I truly believe there is more to being in school than to simply listen to someone teach while inside a box that sometimes has windows. It's building relationships and creating another life for yourself, maybe even somewhere to escape to.

Look Back in Satisfaction

When I look back at how my first semester went, I feel very proud. Even though I only had school two nights a week, I feel as though I've accomplished a lot. If I look at the big picture, I realize that if I go to school at this pace I will probably get my degree in 5 years but honestly I don't care because I'm at least continuing to work towards something that has to be done but also not drowning in it. I would not be happy if I went away to school and I also wouldn't be happy if I went to school full time because I wouldn't be able to afford the things that I love which are my cars and my horse.I am really glad that BC3 offers night classes and I hope that I can continue to take night classes as long as they offer them. Crap I learned in Highschool

A compelling moment from my education I would say would have been anytime during Marching Band Season. I learned a lot about how much effort it takes to juggle all of your regular classes as well as an extracurricular activity. I did have band class during the day as well so I would also consider it a normal class. I made many friends and also made enemies. The part that compelled me would be the fact of being able to make beautiful music and make it sound amazing with a group of people.  There were moments on the field where we were competing and there was a moment in the song "Dust in the Wind"  where there was a climactic part of the song that gave everyone chills that you were hard to recreate. Strap them kids in; give 'em a little vodka

This summer, I had a very exciting time with my family. That exciting time being when my boyfriend and brother almost drowned in the ocean. My vacation began after I was done with work on Saturday. I went to get all of the necessities for the beach. Board games, snacks, that sort of important thing. We left on Sunday around 10:00 in the morning. We went to my brother Marine family day at his base, then went on our way to the Outer Banks. It was about a 10 hour drive there with few stops. When we got there it was about 3 am and I just wanted to go for a walk on the beach but everyone else is lame and didn't want to go. That week was awesome, lots adult beverages and peel and eat shrimp that makes your mouth water.
